The many events impacting and influencing the history of Southern Pacific and displays of Southern Pacific equipment will be covered in this area of the website and you are invited to click on the various tabs under "Exhibits."  Included are the "First Transcontinental" model railroad, the CP-12 passenger car, the SP MW 76, Southern Pacific's only Budd car, the first predecessor companies of Southern Pacific in Texas and Louisiana, the Pacific Railroad Act, the acquisition of the Cotton Belt, the Golden Empire Route, establishment of the Chicago Gateway, and the contributions of the men and women of Southern Pacific who operated, maintained, and serviced the locomotives and rolling stock, and much more.
