TRANSCONTINENTAL MODEL RAILROAD

In addition to memorializing the entire Southern Pacific System, one focal point of the SPRHC will be a world‐class HO scale model railroad exhibit featuring Southern Pacific’s Overland Route between Roseville and Ogden with a physical plant of 1972.  This was the last year of mechanical refrigerator cars serviced at the Pacific Fruit Express facility in Roseville.  It was also the year General Motor’s Electro‐Motive Division delivered the SD45T‐2, a locomotive designed specifically for service on Donner Pass.
